After receiving more than eight inches of rainfall in the past several days in Paducah and McCracken County, the ground is saturated. To avoid causing significant damage to alleys by the garbage trucks and to prevent the trucks from getting mired in the mud, the Paducah’s Public Works Department is changing the collection location this week for residents who have garbage collection in the alley.
For those with alley collection, if you need garbage collection service, please move your garbage rollout to the front of the property for street-side collection.
For collection, please avoid placing the rollout under power lines or low tree branches. Also, please provide a four-foot buffer from parked cars, mailboxes, additional rollouts, etc.
