Ponderings from Paducah – Recycle Right Paducah

Do you want to contribute to a cleaner and greener Paducah?  If so, join the Recycle Right Paducah campaign. By signing up for curbside recycling, you help protect our planet while keeping our community clean and beautiful. If you are already participating in our curbside recycling program, I want to say thank you!

Participating in curbside recycling is not only convenient but also cost-effective. Beginning July 1, the service will be included in your solid waste collection fee, making it a no-brainer for all Paducah residents. We still ask that you sign up for the service.

After you sign up, we will deliver a recycling rollout to your home. Please put only accepted items in the rollout. Our recycling goes to a materials recovery facility in Nashville, TN. If a load includes too many items that are not accepted, the entire load could be considered contaminated and not processed.

To ensure the success of our recycling program, it’s crucial to place only items from the following list in your recycling rollout.

  • Paper: Newspapers, magazines, and office paper (no shredded paper)
  • Cardboard and Pasteboard: Clean, flattened boxes
  • Plastics: Bottles, jugs, and containers (rinse and put the caps back on)
  • Metals: Aluminum cans and tin cans
  • Aseptic Containers: juice boxes, milk cartons, protein drink boxes, etc.
  • Pizza boxes: remove chunks of pizza and cheese first

With your support, Recycle Right Paducah can lead to a cleaner environment and a more sustainable future. Be a part of the solution—sign up today and recycle right .
