On Saturday morning, October 22, a section of Pines Road between Friedman Lane and Buckner Lane will be closed to traffic for milling and paving. The road closure is expected to last only a few hours. Scheduling the work for Saturday avoids conflicts with school bus routes.
Earlier this month, the contractor working for the City of Paducah, Jim Smith Contracting, replaced two drainage culverts on Pines Road near the intersection with Whitney Drive. The paving work is to repair the roadway now that the new culverts and headwalls are completed.
Please use caution, watch for the work crews, and respect the traffic control devices.
The City of Paducah maintains more than 220 miles of streets. For more information including the proposed road rehabilitation plan through 2023, visit Street Information.
